9th Annual Lexington Open Studios: April 29 & 30 2017
Registration Open through February 15
 

Artists who live, work or are affiliated with the Lexington, MA arts community are invited to participate in the 9th Annual Lexington Open Studios, April 29 and 30, 2017, 11am-5pm. Artists working in all media are eligible. In addition to home studios, Lexington Arts and Crafts Society and Munroe Center for the Arts will show work of their own artists. Munroe Center Artists are all invited to sign up and open their doors. We will work with artists who do not have their own studio space in Lexington to find shared space. Community Spaces are available at Munroe Center for the Arts for those without their own studios. Another option is to share a home studio! Opportunities are available to show your work in one of the other artist’s home studio for Open Studio weekend.

Registration:
The entire registration process can now be handled through our online registration system: submitting all information, uploading images, and paying. Print these step by step instructions and reference them while you in use the online application-Click Here for Instructions

Artists must upload at least 1 and up to 3 professional quality image of their work. Images must be in JPG format at 300 DPI, 1200 Pixels on the widest dimension. The application will not upload an image that does not meet the criteria. Artists who do not submit a usable image will be listed on the map with only their name and the address where they are exhibiting.

Registration for individual artists is at the rate of $50 until February 15, 2076. No applications will be accepted after midnight February 15, 2017. The registration fee covers promotion, regional advertising, and listing of your studio on both the LOS website and a map of studio locations being distributed to over 13,000 Lexington homes. Registration fees are not refundable. You may register either under your name or the name of your arts business. Due to space constraints we cannot list both on the map.

If you are unable to use PayPal, you may send a check payable to Lexington Open Studios with your registration ID written on the front to: Judith Cooper, 9 Jean Road, Lexington, MA 02421 REGISTRATION FEES ARE NONREFUNDABLE.

Each artist agrees to the following conditions for exhibiting:
~S/he lives or works in Lexington or is affiliated with the Lexington arts community.
~S/he is responsible for insurance coverage for property, artwork, visitor injury liability, etc. during LOS.
~S/he shall indemnify and hold harmless Lexington Open Studios and the owner of any host site for any claims of injury or other damage caused to artwork or the premises.
~Each artist will supply all needed fixtures for display of artwork. LOS can assist artists in renting lightweight, movable panels for hanging 2D work.
~Each artist will be present in her/his studio space for the duration of Open Studios or organize a studio sitter

Lexington Open Studios is an all-volunteer effort. Each artist is asked to make at least a small contribution of time to help make the event successful. If you have any questions you may call Karen Berman Mulligan (617 347-9134) for assistance.

Need Assistance Photographing Your Work?
Professional Photography, Photography Consultation and Entry Thingy Tech Assistance offered on
Feburary 11, 2017 at Munroe Center for the Arts

Artists may have up to 3 pieces of art photographed at Zoe Perry-Wood's Photography Studio at The Munroe Center for the Arts, for a reaonable fee, including free tech assistance for managing images and registration, contact Zoe at zoe@zoeperrywood.com.
Saturday February 11, 2017 from 12-3 at Munroe Center for the Arts. Please contact Zoe to let her know you will be coming by for some help or for professional images.

Need Help with the New Registration Application?
